The UVA lamps produced by GE in the United States (commonly referred to as purple tubes in China) enjoy a very high reputation both at home and around the world. GE UV-A lamps are divided into BL and BLB. BL, or Blacklight, has the same appearance as ordinary fluorescent lamps, while BLB, or Blacklight Blue, is made of special glass containing cobalt elements and has a black-blue appearance.
